Why not write for publication?

The CNMR was delighted to run the first in its series of Why Not workshops last Friday - Why Not 'Write for publication'. The workshop was held at Maple House over lunch, and delegates stated that they got a lot out of the sessions.

The atmosphere was relaxed and encouraged participation from all. Delegates included both clinical and research based nurses. The workshop addressed barriers to writing, and encouraged practical exercises and suggestions to overcome these barriers. The whole group left with individual plans for writing projects that encompassed a support network to help everyone succeed.

Delegates were given workbooks to take away. They can be added to workbooks from the other workshops in the series to build a file of research resources. The resources section of this CNMR is also being developed to supplement the workbooks.

Look out for some more publications from UCH and UCL nurses later this year!

The next writing for publication workshop will be held on Friday June 3rd.

The next in this series is entitled 'Why not develop a research question', and will be held on Friday March 3rd.
