5th International Conference call for abstracts

Now in its fifth year, the International conference on Community Health Nursing Research will be taking place between the 13th - 14th March 2013 in Edinburgh in Scotland.

The conference promises to be an opportunity for those involved in research and practice development to share new knowledge and understanding of promoting health in the community. During the conference they will highlight developments in nursing practice, research and policy which impact on the work of different nurses working in the community environment. The overall aim is to provide evidence to promote strategies for the advancement of nursing for high quality care in the community setting.

The number of conference places will be limited, so you are advised to register early to avoid disappointment as numbers are regulated by Law.

If you are interested in submitting an abstract to the conference you have until the 29th June 2012 to do so.

Abstracts are welcome in broad areas of research, practice development and policy which have relevance to nursing in the community context.

The scientific committee is particularly keen to receive abstracts in the
following areas:

  • Older people
  • Family and young people
  • Long term conditions
  • Education
  • Public health and inequalities


When submitting an abstract please specify if you wish to submit an oral or poster presentation.

You will be notified by 27th August 2012 if your submission has been successful
and what form of presentation you will give.

Posters
Posters will be displayed each day and you will be notified in advance which viewing session you have been allocated.

  • It is recommended that displays do not exceed 0.08m (W) x 1.2m (H).
  • It is the delegates own responsibility to bring the poster to the conference.


Oral

  • Each oral presentation will be 15 minutes in length with 5 minutes for Q&A.
  • Data projector, screen and laptop will be provided.
